Parental care of a child. Holidays are a time of joy, carefreeness and unforgettable adventures for children. As parents, guardians or loved ones, we make sure that our children are safe and properly cared for during this period. Unfortunately, we cannot always be sure whether the person who takes care of our child meets all our expectations.
So is it worth using the services of a detective to check how your child is cared for during the holidays? In this article, we will look at the perspective of this issue, the methods of checking by detectives and the benefits of doing so.
– Conducting direct observation of those providing care;
– Using technology to control child custody checks
Detectives use various methods to help us check how our child is being cared for. A detective can discreetly record and document any disturbing facts and events they notice.
Technology is also used in the activities carried out. There are applications and devices that allow for real-time observation and recording. This allows us to be sure that our child is in good hands. Other devices allow for the observation of people even from considerable distances.
More and more often, we are approached by clients seeking to obtain a court order to limit or completely deprive their spouse or partner of parental authority.
It may happen that one of the parents is a threat to the child in some way. An example of such behavior during summer trips is the consumption of alcohol by the parent. This may happen while providing direct care or leaving the child alone without proper supervision. In such cases, we talk about neglect.
Another threat may be the use of physical violence (corporal punishment) or psychological violence. So, for example, if the father is potentially dangerous to the child, it is the mother's duty to ensure safety. The consequence should be filing a motion to deprive him of parental authority.
In family law, there is a general principle of taking into account the best interests of the youngest children when issuing decisions on the application of specific measures for their protection.
Complete deprivation of parental authority is considered a last resort. Such decisions are usually made in three situations when:
– Parents grossly neglect their obligations towards their offspring, e.g. by starving them, abandoning them or refusing to pay child support;
– Parental rights are abused through, among other things, sexual abuse of the child, physical or psychological violence against the child, and even raising a son or daughter in hostility towards the other parent;
– Parental authority cannot be exercised at all due to existing obstacles (e.g. serious illness of the mother or father or the person in prison).
Benefits of using the services of a private detective in child custody investigation :
– Possibility to obtain an assessment and knowledge on how to care for the child;
– Photo/video documentation of noticed irregularities;
– Collecting evidence that can be used in court in legal cases, e.g. concerning parental authority;
– Adequate response to threat.
There are many benefits to using a private investigator to verify the proper care of your child. First and foremost, the investigator is an observer who can provide an objective assessment of whether your child is being properly cared for. Additionally, this assessment can help identify any neglect or abuse, giving you the opportunity to intervene and provide support for your child if necessary.
– Examination of the detective’s opinions and references;
– Checking the detective’s license and experience.
If you decide to use a private investigator to check the proper care of your child, it is important to verify what you can rely on. A good way to do this is to research the reputation and references of the investigator. Look among your friends or read the reviews of other clients to make sure you are putting your case in the right hands.
